BRE (Building Research Establishment)

The UK's leading building science centre. BRE conducts fire resistance, smoke leakage, and acoustic testing at their UKAS-accredited laboratories in Watford. Our access panels, riser doors, and loft hatches are tested here to achieve certified fire ratings up to 120 minutes.

What ISO certifications does Rapid Access hold?

Rapid Access is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (quality management systems), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management systems) and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health & safety management systems). All three certifications are awarded by UKAS-accredited third-party auditors and are subject to annual surveillance audits.

Can I use these documents for pre-qualification questionnaires?

Yes. Our ISO certificates, compliance statements, and policy documents are specifically formatted for inclusion in PQQs, supply chain assessments, and contractor pre-qualification submissions.

How often are certifications renewed?

ISO certifications follow a three-year cycle with annual surveillance audits. Certificates are reissued upon successful recertification. Documents on this page always reflect the current valid certification.

Who carries out your product testing?

All fire, smoke, acoustic and airtight performance is independently tested at UKAS-accredited laboratories — principally BRE (Building Research Establishment) in Watford and Warringtonfire. Test reports are supplied free with every order.
