A loft hatch, also referred to as a loft door or loft hatch door, is an insulated hatch installed in the ceiling to provide entry to the roof void or loft space above. Unlike traditional timber hatches, a metal loft hatch delivers superior durability, longevity, and where required fire performance tested with integrity ratings up to 120 minutes. Rapid Access manufactures insulated loft hatches in house at our UK facility, giving us full control over quality, lead times, and bespoke sizing. Available with either a beaded frame or picture frame, each unit is made to measure for a precise fit. Fire rated, insulated, Part L compliant and non fire rated options ensure you can match the specification to your project requirements.

Insulated fire rated options are also available for combined fire and thermal performance, specific test certificates available on request.

What U value do insulated loft hatches achieve?

What is the standard size for a loft hatch?

The 120 minute fire rated variant is restricted to a 650×900mm maximum size to maintain the fire integrity rating. Bespoke and made to measure loft hatches are available within these ranges, manufactured to your exact dimensions.
